Quite pricey compared to other local cafés. Staff were friendly enough but not as attentive as on previous visits. Food was okay, nothing special. My egg white was undercooked and snotty which grossed me out a bit. Coffee was good. I would go again as it might have been a one off bad day and it has been better previously. Dog and child friendly. They prefer cash but do take cards.

Stopped at The Egg and Spoon today and we were not disappointed! Lots of space and lots of menu choices for all the family. £55 for five meals and drinks for our family: kids platter went down well with our youngest two with cucumber, crisps, sandwiches and pack of biscuits. White Chocolate and Strawberry pancakes were also perfect for our 9 year old. The Full English breakfast was spot on and filled us up for the day. Lovely customer service and atmosphere. We'll be returning when we next visit Filey!

Lovely little dog friendly cafe. Visiting Filey with my family and our dogs, thry were really welcoming towards the dogs and treated them as well as they treated us. It was lovely to find a cafe that was dog friendly and also had loads of gluten free options as my Mum has coeliac disease. Really couldn't fault anything, food was wonderful and tasty, atmosphere was amazing. We will 100% be back again.

Welcoming staff and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Its size is deceptive: plenty of seating beyond the initial counter. The vegan full English was better than the usual fayre and a good size. Nice of options for the kids too.

Proof that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Mum was feeling faint so we needed to find somewhere to sit down quickly. Dashed in here because the cafe opposite was full. It doesn’t look much from the outside. The windows were steaming up and we thought it was an ordinary greasy spoon. We only had a tea each and shared a bowl of chips. OMG they were great chips! We’ve since gone back and ordered exactly the same.
