Ambers Restaurant Harrogate

Had such a lovely night at Ambers in Harrogate for our private Christmas party. We were in the Imaginarium and it’s such a gorgeous space. One of those rooms you walk into and everyone does that little “wow” face without meaning to. Gary looked after us all evening and he was brilliant. Really kind, really on it, the sort of service where you don’t have to ask for anything because it’s already been thought of. I had the sea bass with new potatoes for my main and it was spot on. Finished with the Yule log which was rich and decadent in the best way. One of those desserts you keep going back to even when you’re full. Overall just a lovely evening. Great food, beautiful room, and truly looked-after service. Would happily go back.

Food at Sunday roast is quite good. Sides which come with lamb shoulder aren't generous, though lamb itself and potato are very good. Caramelised banana bread is a bit ordinary. Service is efficient but not massively welcoming, everything presented very well (incl food and room). Good value, especially with 20% food discount for locals.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunday roast at Amber Restaurant in the Cedar Court Hotel, Harrogate, and it was fantastic! The portions were generous, and each dish was cooked to perfection. Everyone in our group was thrilled with their menu choices, from the succulent meats to the perfectly prepared sides. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend it if you're looking for a delicious roast in a great setting.
