The perfect place to just escape. The hotel has real presence but inside is so relaxed and friendly. Despite in being a luxury stay it’s also somewhere you came back to with your muddy walking boots and warm up by the fire. There are so many lovely touches that make it really special. From booking to leaving it has the personal touch. A week before I was phoned to discuss what time we would like our meal and afternoon tea. On the day we arrived there was a fire in the lobby which was so welcoming. Unfortunately they just reopened from a bit of decorating and it wasn’t quite finished so the bar was closed and the lounge was a bit cold, the fire was lit but I’m guessing it hadn’t been lit for a few days so the fabric of the building hadn’t warmed up as it was definitely warmer the next day. We had our complimentary hot drink and were then shower to our room. The room was incredible … it was just absolutely stunning! Spacious with a free standing bath and beautiful views across the valley. There was tea, plenty of fresh coffee to make a cafeteria and fresh milk was available from the lobby which is something I like. Our meal that night was delicious and we had it in the newly decorated bar sat by a fire. Peyton was so lovely and helpful with recommendations and just made our evening really special. Breakfast was delicious and very generous and then the country side around is perfect for walking. Afternoon tea and the cheese board in the evening made for really relaxed day. Highly recommend this place as somewhere to relax and enjoy the countryside from.

Just home from a fantastic two night stay at Simonstone Hall. We were on their ‘wintering package’ which we felt was great value. The welcome and service from all the staff we encountered was excellent and the food was all delicious and beautifully presented. The views from the hotel are truly stunning and the rooms are gorgeous. The only tiny drawback we found is that you can hear people in the rooms next to you (talking, radio/tv) but quite faintly and it didn’t really bother us as we just put some music on. We’d 100% stay again and would highly recommend Simonstone Hall to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

Just come back from my 6th stay at Simonstone Hall hotel; a pre-Christmas break with some friends. Have got to say this was the best yet. The hotel itself is a wonderful property with wonderful rooms, decorated beautifully for the festive season. The food is outstanding and really made the stay, in addition to the attentiveness and kindness of all of the staff that we met. First class.

Took a gamble by booking a stay at Simonstone Hall and wow, what can I say, from the second we stepped into the hotel we were greeted by beautiful views of the Yorkshire Dales, peacocks roaming and staff warmly expecting our arrival personally. The decor in the hotel is incredible and the whole stay felt like we were in pages of Country Living magazine, it was the sort of place where you can trek in in your muddy boots and order an expertly made cocktail (thanks Ashley) in equal measures. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable with cute little boutique touches and the breakfast / food delicious. A walk to the waterfall is a must see if you’re in the area. Thank you to Jake and his wonderful team for a great stay, we’ll definitely be back!

We had an exceptional meal served on the terrace. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious and exquisitely presented. Our dog was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The grounds are beautiful, perfect for a post-lunch wander. We will definitely be back.
