Gorgeous place to stay, I have been a few times over the years and its always lovely. The staff are great and always make sure you have everything you need and are happy to help. Lots of lovely walks around too!

Excellent location. We had a ground floor room with a conservatory which was very nice. Decent Wifi available and excellent customer service from all staff.Very good breakfast and evening meal. Only way to make this hotel any better would be to have a wider selection of evening meals and sandwiches. We will return to this wonderfull Hotel

We weren't staying at the hotel but were staying locally. So nipped in to book a table for my birthday. On our initial visit the day before we were dressed in walking gear. The staff onsite didn't seem bothered by our attire and were warm and welcoming from the outset. My partner said she immediately felt welcome like being at home and we ended up staying for 4 hours having tea and coffee chatting to a couple who were staying there. We booked for the following evening and again upong visiting the staff smilingly welcomed us. The 3 course meal was beautiful and we retired to the lounge area by the open fire for after dinner coffee. We'll definitely be back and perhaps staying next time. Definitely recommended.

If you are looking for country cosy charm then this place certainly provides that. The hotel is full of character n charm, intimate and friendly. Set in the stunning Yorkshire dales with surrounding scenery of green and a short drive from Wensleydale and Hawes it is perfectly situated to explore what the dales has to offer. The staff were friendly and food was lovely. The room was nice with an attached conservatory where I enjoyed my morning coffee, would definitely stay again.

I am reluctant to review as I don't want too many people knowing about this jewel in the Dales! This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! I am of retirement age and I have stayed at quite few in my time, all over the world and this place goes in the top five! Everything was perfect in this hotel! We loved the room we had, it had such a cozy vibe! Super clean and with a beautiful view of the dales and Hawes. The bathroom and shower were spotlessly clean and worked beautifully. Perfect hotel for local walks, as the Bellow hill road is very quiet and peaceful. Hawes is a charming town, and some of the waterfalls in the area are pretty. It is possible to see the magic of the Yorkshire Dales from here. Whoever was responsible for the cooking did such a great job, from breakfast to evening everything was fantastic! Don't be fooled by some of the food pictures on the web looking small, the portions were perfect! The little bar was great to have drinks before dinner, and even served local draught bitter and lager! From check-in to check-out, all of the staff were brilliant! Just wish I could remember names better, because everyone there deserves to be congratulated for a job well done! I hope I will be staying here again in the future!
