The Golden Hind Fisheries

What a wonderful Fish and Chip shop. Welcoming staff, amazing Fish and Chips (cooked in beef dripping). The fish had a great taste. Scraps too. Maybe even nicer than battered chips! If you are in Haworth, forget the pubs and restaurants, go for Fish and Chips in Sun Street. Check opening times though as not open long hours or every day.

Popped in today with a colleague on lunch break I had the fish and chips with scraps and my colleague had sausage chips and curry . I have to say the fish and chips was very nice and reasonably priced for a tourist area and my colleague certainly seemed to enjoy his dinner also. The real winner is the staff who run this place as they were very friendly and welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in every customer and made time to have a chat with us so to sum up it was delightful food but would go back just for the kind and welcoming staff.

Best there is, friendly people, good value, excellent food

This has got to be the best place in Yorkshire by far for quality and taste, the fish and chips cooked fresh on entry in quality beef dripping is to die for and not forgetting the peppered cake (they call it a scone). Take the time out to visit this place, you will not be disappointed. Me and a friend have now done over 40 beef dripping chip shops in the past year and in the process of doing reviews and this will top our list. It won't be long before we're back.

We drove past the Golden Hind and wanted to stop but couldn’t park. Drove miles before we thought - let’s go back; the setting is perfect. So glad we did. Haddock and chips, curry sauce, tea cake, dandelion and burdock. Absolutely outstanding. We sat outside on the benches and dipped the chips in spicy, flavoursome curry sauce while I munched my fish butty. Will go back to try the scallops! Lovely owners and obviously very happy regulars!
