Hunters of Helmsley

Bought a 2lb pork pie for Boxing Day. No seasoning in the pastry, & a tasteless pie with no jelly. Not what you would expect from an artisan Yorkshire butcher,/deli. Very disappointing. Tesco’s Pork pies are much better than this, …& a lot cheaper

I stumbled upon this incredible shop whilst staying in Helmsley. Not only did it have the most fantastic mix of chutneys and interesting, quality ingredients upstairs but also the most fresh mix of sandwich fillings downstairs. I felt completely spoilt for choice and didn’t want any of the suggested combinations so the lovely lady helped me pick and design my own sandwich. I opted for honey roast ham, manchego cheese and apple chutney and as you can see by the picture it was absolutely incredible! The service was great, ingredients quality and I will definitely visit again if I return :)

A great place to go for a sandwich with fresh homemade ingredients. The fillings are plentiful with a great choice to choose from. Sat outside with the dog on the bench eating and watching the hussle and bussel of people coming in and out of the shop and surrounding places. A must visit place if in Hemsley. Also make sure you park in the long stay as its far less stressful than trying to park in the centre.

Amazing sandwiches! We were a big group with a large order, staff were so lovely and the sandwiches were filled amazingly, delicious 🤤
