Authentic Stories from Diners
Such a busy place but the staff are an absolute credit. Visited Saturday and they just coped effortlessly. Food was beautiful wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
We came for breakfast as it was the only place open at 9:30am on a Sunday and IS dog friendly. We had a warm welcome and sat in the downstairs section with the dogs. The waiter was super friendly, helpful and polite. We had poached eggs and toast (which isn't on the menu) but eggs were perfection and the toast was delicious. We also had the smokey beans, eggs and toast. The smokey beans are absolutely INCREDIBLE! Freshly squeezed orange juice (which actually is) and a creamy latte. I would say the only down side is it's pretty spenny! The above was £35.
This is the place to visit if you love a proper scone! We came last year and had one of their scones and it was huge and delicious! So we knew we had to come back when visiting Helmsley again. The place offers a friendly vibe and it is dog friendly which is always a bonus for us. The price is slightly more expensive than some places but worth it in our opinion.
Really lovely cafe situated in the heart of Helmsley. We sat outside for lunch surrounded by historic buildings and with view of the ancient castle. We were welcomed with friendly service and promptly served the most delicious, fresh and home cooked food. Too stuffed for pudding but the cakes looked excellent. Will return!
A lovely little cafe right in the middle of Helmsley. Lovely outside sitting area by the stream and seating available inside. A little tight on space but the food and service was great. If disabled I would ask the staff if there are disabled toilets as the ones used were up a steep set of steps.
