Authentic Stories from Diners
We had a wonderful time at the café in Knaresborough! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Sara was so kind and friendly — she really made us feel welcome. Andy was also amazing; when my child accidentally broke a plate, he kindly refused to let us pay for it. Such genuine hospitality — thank you so much! Highly recommended 🌟
Really cosy cafe, brilliant views and really good food, friendly staff. Good quality food and huge portions of really nice chips! Would come again!
Long queue to sit outside which is understandable worth the wait to sit outside. Food was good. Coffee was a bit cold but still very tasty.
Everything was okay, however we didn’t receive a very warm welcome. We were seated quickly. Order and pay at kitchen kiosk, then table service after that. The food was quick to be served. The food order for our table was a breakfast bun, a fish goujon bun, and spicy Malaysian sardines with sourdough - the sardines were great, however the sourdough was poor, more like a sliced crouton. We had all agreed that good bread can make a breakfast/lunch and had expected more. We arrived at 1150 and the soup was already sold out. The dining area was very loud, it wasn’t full but still hard to hear each other. There were no soft furnishings to absorb sound and every voice, chair movement or slight noise was amplified. Great location. A lovely walk to/from the cafe with views of the viaduct.
Lovely setting on the riverside with views of the iconic bridge. Great honest food at reasonable prices. Had a brilliant Yorkshire breakfast with a decent coffee while watching the ducks and boats on the river.
