Amazing food! The burgers are fantastic, just like almost famous was in Leeds! If you do anything today, order the cheese balls! You won't regret it! The place for burgers in leeds.

Loved it! Staff were very attentive and friendly as soon as I walked it. The burger itself is excellent, went for the beef and even though it'd a smash burger you could taste the quality of the meat used instead of just pure salt. Also got the upgraded fries with the buffalo hot honey sauce.. man I wished they had that on some wings!

I had the Hippo hour dinner deal and chose the Fat Hippo burger and waffle fries. The deal comes with two chicken tenders and a soft drink making it £21 with the waffle fries. The burger was juicy and you could taste the quality of the beef. The tenders had a hint of curry spice I think in the dredge which was tasty and a little different. Waffle fries were a touch over for my preference making them crispy throughout rather than a little fluffy in the centres but I would definitely eat here again! Thanks Demi and Soph 😋🍔

Was promptly shown to my table upon arrival and once settled asked for my drinks order. The food came out in good time with a perfect gap between starter and mains. Follow ups for drinks were also welcomed. Overall very good. One item I'd consider for improvement would be wet wipes with each meal - the burgers were so unctuous and juicy which cause a bit of leakage 🤣

Had an absolutely brilliant experience at Fat Hippo in Leeds! Huge shoutout to the lovely ladies Ellie and Demi — they were incredibly kind, welcoming, and took the time to explain the menu, which made choosing so much easier. The food was top-notch. The Trash Browns are genuinely to die for — crispy, indulgent, and packed with flavour. I highly recommend the Born Slippy burger, and pairing it with the waffle side was a winning combo. Every bite tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying. The flavour combinations worked really well for us. The ambience was amazing — relaxed, vibrant, and a great place to enjoy good food and good vibes. Overall, everything was fresh, tasty, and absolutely worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
