I visited Flat Iron in Leeds on the 27th of February for my birthday. It was our first time there, even though we hadn’t pre-booked, the guy at the door kindly managed to find us a table. We waited about 45 minutes, but it was definitely worth it. We were seated in a lovely spot and given complimentary popcorn while waiting for our server. Zara looked after us and was absolutely amazing!! very friendly, caring and attentive. She helped with my questions about the cheeseburger and kindly offered to have the chilli on the side. We had the Flat Iron steak, which Zara recommended medium rare, and it was perfect! Tender and full of flavour. The cheeseburger was also delicious and cheesy. Truffle mac and cheese also unbelievably good, so good that I jokingly requested it again as my birthday cake. Zara made the moment extra special by bringing the mac and cheese with a candle in it, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture to end the meal. She also surprised us with some complimentary ice cream. Shout out to Massimo as well, who was very kind and attentive during the evening. Overall, we had a truly pleasant night with fantastic food, outstanding service, and wonderful hospitality. If we visit Leeds again, we will definitely be coming back to Flat Iron!
I visited Flat Iron for the first time and it definitely did not disappoint. In fact, I’d say it’s one of the best value-for-money steak restaurants around. From the moment we arrived, the experience was impressive. We were given a little cup of popcorn on entry, and water was already on the table without us having to ask — a small touch, but it made a great first impression. I ordered the Wagyu bavette with peppercorn sauce, along with the homemade beef dripping chips and truffled macaroni cheese. The steak was cooked to perfection — tender, full of flavour, and it literally melted in the mouth. The peppercorn sauce complemented it beautifully. The truffled mac and cheese was absolutely to die for — rich, creamy, and indulgent — and the beef dripping chips were crispy, golden, and delicious. To top it all off, we were given small tokens to exchange for free ice cream at the end, which was a lovely extra touch. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a proper meal. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be returning.
Highly recommended for steak lovers! As a first timer at Flat Iron, Ronan was very helpful in guiding what to try and was very patient and his recommendations according to my preference was spot on! Great hospitality from the crew and the Flat Iron has a classic ambiance. The medium well Iron Steak with Salad was delicious. The complementary popcorn, citrus water and softy 🍦 is appreciated. Indeed a unique experience Only suggestion or drawback I felt was the steak was slightly chewy. Reservation recommended
Flat Iron is a very good chain about the steak. They also have very nice burger . I know them many years from London .I always take every guests who comes from my country..Their consistent standards are admirable.I visited this branch with my friends. They are exactly same ..I recommend every single branch of this chain. They are successful.
My wife and I went here earlier today for the first time and it did not disappoint! We were served by Matty who was brilliant. He explained the types of steaks available very clearly and my wife and I for the Wagyu Bavette and the Featherblade respectively. Cooked to perfection it melts in your mouth. Side of IPA and ice cream to wrap up. 10/10 experience and taste. Definitely will be coming back with the mini cleaver and try the burger instead! 😃
