Easy 10/10 this one, the tapas is excellent, really enjoyed their take on baked chorizo and the aubergine fritters were awesome. As others have said, the meat is fantastic and the sardines were beautifully flavoured. The atmosphere is relaxed and felt full, and the service was friendly, fast, and attentive - we didn't wait long for any of our food and felt very welcome.
Booked this place a month ago because we wanted a nice anniversary meal. As soon we arrived we was sat in the corner on a high stool next to the bar. We asked 2 be moved and got told the place is fully booked. I told him we have been booked for a month and he shot us down aggressively and said it is what it is. We was going.2 leave but I said to my wife let's persevere and give it a go. I swopped seats with my wife as she was looking at a wall in the corner. Then ordered food and a bottle of wine. Wine was nice then the food came randomly. Olives was lovely, patatas braves was warmed up scraps with no tomato sauce, chorizo was burnt. By this point I asked 2 see the manager. I was abit stroppy at first as I was annoyed. But that doesn't deserve the aggression I got back. He was properly in my face shouting saying there's nothing wrong with your food it is how its supposed to be. Worst experience in Leeds we've ever had.. thanks la taberna for making our anniversary unforgettable. 🙄💩
You feel like you have been transported straight to Spain. From the great greeting from andreas to the perfectly cooked tapas, this place is amazing. The staff are upbeat and speak spainish too which just adds to the authenticity. Would rate this 6 stars if I could. Gracias Mi Amigo
Cosy family run Spanish tapas place. Welcoming staff, explained every dish with me, super patient and friendly. Food is amazing. Having been in Spain for a few years, the food here is authentic. Try the Gambas, it’s out of this world.
Food was delicious and the service was excellent, a lovely little place that I definitely recommend - especially the aubergine fritters! Only small complaint/why have marked atmosphere down slightly is there was an off-putting smell coming from the direction of the toilets a couple of times. I think there may be some pipe issues or something but once they're sorted it would be five stars all round!
