The food was extremely overpriced for the quality provided. The service was quite slow, and the meals were very oily with disappointingly small portions. I ordered a halloumi kebab, but the halloumi was barely cooked. Honestly, I felt I could have made a better version at home myself. All of our dishes were overly oily and the portion sizes were tiny considering the price. We left still feeling hungry and very disappointed.
We had our wedding meal here at Ego Mediterranean Sheffield on the 29th December 2025. what can I say about it? It was amazing! The table layout was beautiful. They had our cake on a separate table with the cake boxes and the wedding favours on another, they really made it look so aesthetically elegant. The service from the team was brilliant! The young man who catered our needs throughout the afternoon to the evening was so well mannered and polite. The food was delicious! Compliments to the chefs for cooking our meals with so many of us (26 people) and practically being served all at the same time is a testament to the capabilities of this restaurant and their team. Thank you so much for our desserts (wife and groom plates) they was so beautiful we didn’t want to eat them and ruin how they looked ❤️ overall we can’t thank Ego Mediterranean Sheffield enough for having us and making our special day so much more memorable than what we was ever expecting! ❤️
Came here for a meal with catch up with friends. It is a Mediterranean themed restaurant and served dishes like paella, kebabs, morrocon strew, meats, pizzas. I couldn't see any salads. The vegetarian options are ok but a bit difficult as a vegan. We had the vegetable paella which was really nice. The mixed paella, morrocon lamb rump and chicken kebab. The tables can be quite small so if you all order a kebab it can be quite tight on space, but the waitress was happy to take the kebab skewer away for more space. Desserts were also delicious. We had the triple chocolate brownie, pistachio Eton mess and mini creme brulée. Really recommend the desserts. They serve cocktails too but we were not drinking. The restaurant was busy when we went in at 2pm but did die down about 3 onwards. To say it wasn't too busy it did take some time for us to order dessert and pay but overall, it is a nice restaurant and I would come back
Everything was nice, and the staff were very kind. This is my personal review of the food: they provide delicious starters and desserts. However, I was not familiar with the main courses (Moroccan lamb and lemon chicken), and I personally didn’t enjoy the taste. Others may like it, though.
Been to Ego many times, my son and I had the hanging kebab. Wasn't to my taste but he enjoyed it! Daughter's steak was a bit fatty, apart from that all good. I forget the waiter that served us but he couldn't have done more for us on my Daughter's 21st birthday! Booked table for 5pm, which is 2 for 1 cocktails f9r an hour, all in all a great evening. Next time I go I'll have the Seabass which is fantastic and the pasta and pizza are also excellent.
