I also got excited about high reviews, took my teenage daughter and came to check this place out. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. First of all, it is unacceptable for the restaurant to be filthy as it makes you think of the state of the kitchen! Both our menus where sticky and there were dried food stains on the table ( I asked a waiter to wipe it and he struggled with it, it was stuck to the surface). The staff is nice enough but they don't really know what they're doing. There were 5 tables and 3 members of staff, that's plenty for a quick service, we waited around for everything though. They look a bit lost like if they've not been given a proper training and haven't got a clue what to do. The main problem is food. It all came on a hot plate, how come most of it was cold? I ordered Sunday sea bass, the fish was cooked nicely, crispy and hot, and all the veggies, roast potatoes & mash were all cold! That's so strange! My daughter's meal was cooked in the same way: her chicken was hot and everything else was cold (a little lukewarm where it was touching the hot plate). The potatoes were definitely cooked the day before ( let's be honest here, everyone did or saw a member of family doing roast potatoes, we all know how they should look like when they're freshly made) and stayed in the oil for a while, they were wrinkly and soggy. Have I mentioned they were also cold...? The mocktail we ordered was way too sweet, we only had a few sips and left it. At any point we were not asked about our meal or our experience. We left plates full of food, surely you would have thought: perhaps they didn't like it? No one asked. Such a potential, all wasted. Such a shame.
popped in for breakfast with my husband on a Tuesday morning as visitors to Sheffield for a few days, lovely and warm inside with beautiful deco and a nice breakfast for both of us only issue is that we didn't get a receipt so I didn't check until after we left that the lady/waitress miss-charged me at the register, our bill should have been £26.90 but she charged me £29.60. easy mistake but ask for your bill and check the amount before payment.
We came in as a group of 9 and two groups were from out of town. A few hours before I did call to make a reservation they did say they could not guarantee but would try and accommodate us. The surrounding /atmosphere was lovely The girls from out of town loved the "women only zone" although it was not manned on the day The food was delicious and service was excellent I would recommend Portion size were fab Thank you
i mean what can i say? me and my family ordered the sunday specials including the lamb shank, the roast beef and the sea bass and they were all cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and the side dishes complemented the star of the show. The roast beef and lamb shank were abit cold and were sent back yet was quickly dealt with and servers came back with both plates freshly made again and piping hot yet still cooked to perfection, pairing with the pink atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place it is very family friendly and presents such good quality food.
My partner and I had such a great date night at The Pink Tree, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was spot on — warm, intimate, and beautifully decorated, with that soft pink glow that makes everything feel a little more magical. The staff were genuinely lovely and attentive without being intrusive, and the service felt effortless. The menu was incredible; every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. I had the "light bite" masala fish and chips (huge plate and excellent value!) and my partner had the lamb burger - both declious. Yummy deserts and milkshakes too! What really made the evening special was the vibe. It’s cosy, romantic, and just the right level of lively. Whether it was the lighting, the music, or the overall energy, it just felt like the perfect place to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. If you’re looking for an ideal date-night spot in Sheffield, The Pink Tree on London Road is an absolute gem. We’ll definitely be back! 💕🍸🌸
