The Woolly Sheep Inn

Spent the afternoon here with friends for a birthday get together, the pub itself is cosy and delightful with a varied range of drinks and food. We chose to stay and eat here and we're glad we did, the food was beautiful and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend for drinks and food.

We stayed last year and returned again. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as last time. We had a room on the top floor this time. It was smaller than the rooms on the middle floor. There was lots of noise from I presume the plumbing from the adjacent rooms. The bathroom shower cubicle had a lot of black mould in it and the hair dryer didn't work. The evening meal was OK but the breakfast was good. The staff are friendly and it's in a very good location.

Came on a saturday for some food. What a blinking find !! Ordered the margarita pizza with added caramelised onion. So so so tasty ! One of the best pizzas i have had. Added a side of skin on fries. Again really tasty and a really good sized portion. Couldn't eat them all for sure. Staff were superb ! So friendly and attentive. £58 for 2 main, a side, 2 x alcoholic drinks and 3 x diet Pepsi. Very well priced for excellent food.

The service provided on the evening of Wednesday 11th February by the young gentleman in the restaurant was excellent. The service at the bar was quick and friendly. The food was of good quality and very tasty. And, to top everything off, Timothy Taylor beers are served here. An excellent experience.

Simply the best local pub in my opinion - often can be super busy but the food here is amazing. I'd argue it's the best Sunday roast anywhere local, and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Coming here after a lovely walk around the woods or in the dales, sitting by the roaring open fire with your dog and a pint - nothing better! Highly recommend!
