We stayed for the weekend in the Martini room Dan showed us up lovely guy very helpful and courteous. Bed was so comfortable, lovely hot decent shower! Good quality supplies lovely bed linen, nice touch coffee machine, mini fridge and proper milk! Few cleaning issues housekeeping had missed which was a shame or it would have had 10/10. The bar is lovely nicely done most of the staff really good Meg Carla & Dan exceptional, couple of the staff not so bit work shy. We had the meat platter and got to say at £29 we were robbed 🤦🏻♀️ not the best by a long chalk (pork belly tasted just of dirty oil) which is a shame as everything else was spot on and forced us to seek meals elsewhere! Maybe a good look at the quality and price and cooking methods is needed especially to survive the current climate!
Just stopped in when walking past after seeing someone eating a Breakfast! Well WOW ! Cooked to PERFECTION….. Very friendly staff to top of a perfect start for the day ! Many thanks Harry’s !!
We came for valentines day/night. The room was super and very clean, the views are amazing and location is perfect. Our server Meg was wonderful through check in and dinner and the morning staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Will be staying again thank you guys see you soon 😊
Harry’s in Whitby is a really lovely place to walk into. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with a cosy coastal feel that makes you want to sit down, take your time, and enjoy the evening. It’s definitely one of those spots where the setting itself puts you in a good mood. Service-wise, things started off a little shaky. I ordered the spaghetti with muscles and prawn, but it came out with salmon instead. Mistakes happen, and to be fair, the staff handled it well. They apologised, sorted it quickly, and once the correct dish arrived it was enjoyable and nicely cooked. After that, the service stayed friendly and attentive, so it did leave a better impression overall. The only thing that really let the experience down was the value for money. The food is good, but the portions don’t quite match the prices. For example, the 10oz steak came with just eleven chips, and at £36.99 it felt a bit disappointing. The plate looked fine, but for that price you expect something a little more generous. Overall, Harry’s has a great atmosphere and the staff do redeem themselves, but the portion sizes for the cost make it hard to justify going often. Neverless was a great place for our 1st anniversary
This was a real find. Perfectly located , within walking distance of everywhere, with beautiful views of the harbour. Check-in had a real personal touch, thank you. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room itself was charming, warm & comfortable. I don't believe this would be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as entry to the accommodation was via the exterior stairs. We had a free parking voucher, a short walk up the hill towards Captain Cooks statue. The breakfast in the room was delicious, delightful and beautifully served in an open hamper. The day before we had eaten breakfast in the restaurant, which incurred a £5 per head fee. Sadly the kippers on that occasion were disappointing, but the evening meal fish and chips were tremendous! We had been to a nearby restaurant the night before, but hadn't been able to partake, due to the fish being cooked in traditional beef dripping. The restaurant bar area has a wonderful feel. I can highly recommend the Whitby Prince of Darkness gin. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Thank you!
