Cosy eatery serving great comfort food. I had the classic Steak & Ale pie with homemade mash and mushy peas with a mug of Yorkshire tea....bliss. Didn't have room for a pudding :( 1940s vibe and soundtrack. Friendly staff. Will definitely make this place a regular next time in Whitby.

A lovely and cozy spot in Whitby! Humble Pie ’n’ Mash has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere with real old British charm. The pie, mash, and gravy were perfect comfort food, and I had Spotted Dick with custard for dessert absolutely delicious and nostalgic! The place feels cozy and traditional, and the staff were really friendly. Definitely one of the must-visit spots in Whitby!

Literally not joking, the absolute best pie I have ever had! Very decent filling, VERY flavoursome, light short pastry, proper seasoning, mash and mushy peas top notch! Super friendly staff. It would be lethal if I lived local to this place, I’d be in there for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day! You’d have to roll me home!

The best pie and mash in the country! We travel from Scotland a couple of times a year just to visit humble pie and mash! We enjoyed our second meal of the week there today and it was gorgeous as ever and the staff cannot do enough for you. I get the chicken pie every time and my husband always gets the steak and ale pie!
