Authentic Stories from Diners
We discovered this hidden gem today and had the set lunch menu to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Where to start? I was blown away by the attention to detail on each dish, the tastes, the presentation, it was all exceptional. The staff were attentive & friendly without being pushy, but at the same time knowing exactly when to check on us. We had the lunch menu which was £35 for three courses and an amazing canapé. I think this is amazing value based on the quality of the ingredients and the experience we had. We fished with delicious coffee and truffles. I can't praise this beautiful restaurant anymore and only wish I knew about it sooner! I can't wait to come back and will recommend it to anyone who will listen! 🤣 Thank you again for such a wonderful experience and helping us to celebrate our special day.
Incredible meal here, fresh produce from the beautiful kitchen garden, local roe deer and one of the best and most comforting strawberry desserts I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The whole experience was top notch, relaxed dining in what felt a warm, comforting environment with excellent service considering the age of the waiting staff Would very highly recommend indeed.
Good food, rather pricey but lovely place. View from one side. Friendly staff, but we had to push a bit for the dessert, as reminding two times that we were on the way for a hike. We needed to catch a train later, we had to catch a hour later train, due to the delay ❤️
I had the pleasure of having lunch at this location on a sunny day where we were sat outdoors to enjoy the light. We were surprised with a complimentary bite which looks like black little crunchy dough with this creamy crab cream which was amazingly fresh. My partner ordered the set lunch menu which came with the bread and butter and it was warm and fresh. The butter was amazingly light as well! The lamb was succulent and the seafood in the fish pie was perfectly cooked. My parner's lemon posset dessert fruitiness balanced put the richness of the mains. When we thought we were done, the staff brought out complimentary chocolate which really rounded off the meal with a sweet yet light bitterness to it. I will definitely come back to this restaurant again!
This was my second visit, it’s a beautifully designed space that felt more homely in the evening. All the ceramics match the food perfectly and dinner was really delicious. The ingredients are very fresh and flavours taste complex and cooked with a light touch. It’s lovely to see that children are welcomed too. It is even by London standards a pricey night out but a good one.
