The Vault, Whitby

I’d give them 10 stars if I could the Sunday lunch was faultless! Tasty, quality beef, superbly cooked, decent price, great portion size if you don’t go here for food you’re seriously missing out! Cannot big them up enough! As a caterer myself I find it difficult to find decent restaurants so hand ups to the chef 👨🏻‍🍳 & team!

We had one of the best Sunday dinners we’ve had in a long time. The food was absolutely exceptional with fantastic portions size and everything on the plate being perfectly cooked. As a family with two boys, it was great to see everyone of us genuinely enjoy their meal, we all loved it. The service made the visit perfect and the two girls who looked after us were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional, making us feel welcome from start to finish. It was a relaxed, enjoyable afternoon for the whole family, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend this restaurant to others.

We stayed at the hotel this weekend to celebrate our 15th anniversary, and it was such a fantastic experience. The restaurant launched a new menu on the night we arrived and honestly, it was out of this world. We ended up eating there both nights, trying the Vault Burger and the flat iron steak on the first night, and the chicken burger on the second (pictured… apologies to the chef, I couldn’t pronounce it, let alone spell it!). Every meal was a really generous portion and absolutely delicious, there’s genuinely nothing I would change. We also had breakfast both mornings, with the full English and eggs Benedict, which were beautiful. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it never felt forced. We can’t wait to go back. Price range was great and that includes the drinks for too.

We are a couple, we visited October on a Friday evening. We both had a fish starter & main. Both meals were delicious, cooked to perfection & quality. We were served by a lovely waiter. This is a lovely restaurant, & would definitely return if in Whitby again. 🙂

Booked here last minute for a Sunday roast whilst on holiday and what a great decision that was! The best Sunday lunch I've ever had at a restaurant - the staff were also very attentive, the music was great and the decor was lovely! Will 1000% be coming back if end up in this neck of the woods again 😊
