Authentic Stories from Diners
Came here with my bf both got both regular Cod and chips. Very expensive for something that’s not a large portion. Chips were very hard barely cooked, couldn’t taste the beef dripping they’re supposedly cooked in. Fish was meaty and filling but the again couldn’t taste the beef dripping. Expensive for drinks as they come in a tiny glass. Staff were nice and friendly but food let it down unfortunately.
Visited in January and the food was amazing. We were looked after by the lovely older lady who was very attentive, friendly and kind. She’s such a credit to your restaurant😊 The homemade lemon cheesecake too which the lady recommended was out of this world😋
First visit and was very impressed with the quality of the cod and chips. A perfect, top quality and tasty meal. Service was great too. Can’t wait to come back!
We thoroughly enjoyed it fish and chips from Trenchers. Good quality and very tasty.
Was looking forward to this after hearing best part various reviews, I got a takeaway of haddock and chips a small mushy peas and a breadcake, I found the chips good, but not enough, peas were stodgy, and fish tasted of old frying oil, and was small for the price, breadcake was put in microwave because it was stale, server made a half hearted excuse the margarine was hard, fish was biggest let down, watery? It didn’t seem fresh as I assumed it would have been from here, a good £15/16, il try Magpies next. Trenchers is incredibly overrated.
